In an ideal world, the demonstrators should not retaliate against the violence meted out to them by the illegitimate theocratic thugs; and indeed it can be seen in footage of other protests where anti-government protestors are trying to protect security forces etc. from harm....this should continue as it allows the protestors to gain moral ground which will eventually help them in their goals to overthrow the theocracy.
