The demonstration at the Iranian Embassy degenerated on Friday afternoon when a large number of protesters managed to rush the gates and into the embassy area. An official were injured and even at halvsju time in the evening the staff were trapped.

It began as a peaceful demonstration outside the Iranian Embassy in Lidingö north of Stockholm on Friday afternoon. Around 150 people had gathered to protest against the regime in Iran. Two police patrols were in place.

But the 16-time atmosphere became increasingly upset. The demonstrators pressed against the gate that eventually gave way. They ran into the area and into the embassy building.
