Why are you also covering PressTV.ir ?

For those of you wondering why I also carry coverage from sites/organizations like PressTV.ir It is very simple. I try for complete understanding of an issue, and the best way to understand the opposition is to try and understand how they present themselves. While much of what they say may not have the strongest base in reality, there are many who take their statements as fact. And the only way to counter these misperceptions are to know what they are.

When/where are any upcoming protests?

I am currently working on putting together a calendar that readers can make submissions to, but it is not quite ready yet. I will have a few extra features like a map to the location and the ability of the submitter to include links to YouTube Videos and Flickr photos(assuming copyright authorization). But till that is ready I am including a link to another calendar of related events.

Can I rate the posts?

Yes. I have put a 5 level rating system that will let users (logged in and anonymous) rate each post.

While the rating is visible in the summary for videos, for other posts you ill have to bring up the individual page before you can rate it.

Can I bookmark pages ?

I am currently implementing a site-wide bookmark system that will let individual users keep their own list of pages that they wish to remember.

Each users bookmark list is separate from every others users list. Because of this security, each user has to have their own LOGON at this site to be able to use it.

Can I submit stuff ?

You can submit information ( news articles and video links ) via the contact form. Video (from YouTube and Archive.org ) can also be submitted directly via http://iranelection2009.com/node/add/video It's not a free-for-all so al submission will have to go thru moderation first.

The site site should be upgraded shortly to have similar submission capabilities for photos on Flickr and links to web pages.
